Hospitalist - Inpatient Medicine Physician (1515)

The Job:
This position is 100% inpatient medicine within a well respected medical group (you will not work for a hospital or an HMO). There are NO outpatient duties.

The successful candidate will manage an average of 20 in-patients ranging from routine to complex.

Hours are standard, Monday through Friday 8am through 5pm.

This practice is in the largest, most modern hospital in the area. Night duties are covered by Nurse Practitioners so this particular practice offers a more family oriented environment where night call is only as a backup to the working staff.

this medical group is one of the pioneers of hospital medicine and has finely tuned the process to minimize administrative backlog. The use of proprietary hand held computer tablets and programming allows their physicians to accomplish much more medically in a day than nearly any other organization. this has effectively cut administrative time down to a percentage routinely under 5%

Eligibility REQUIRES US citizenship or permanent resident status, sorry no exceptions.

Board Certification (or eligibility, if within 2 years of graduation) in general internal medicine is required for consideration. Fluency in the English Language. Verifiable (via reference), above average skill in hospital with an excellent record vis a vis malpractice. State license or licensure in progress..

Compensation consists of a base plus additional compensation based upon both production and quality factors. As an example a board certified physician rounding on the average of 20 patients per day will earn a minimum of $200K per year. Compensation of $250K to over $300K per annum is routine among the group's partners.
